Ray Ellis is an Australian businessman and CEO of the First National Real Estate network.

Ray was appointed in November 2004 with the primary focus of the re-positioning and expansion of the largest cooperative real estate network that numbers over 400 offices throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Transformational Leadership

Since appointment, the network has undergone an almost complete revolution of its product and service offering, developed industry leading internet marketing technologies, dramatically altered its corporate culture, arrested years of financial losses and returned to a position of growth.

These products and services have attracted recognition from the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) and also delivered the network’s agents greater efficiency and business growth.

In February 2014, First National Real Estate launched the Australian real estate industry’s first ‘optimized for mobile’ National Website, with an entirely new customer focus – real estate life journeys.


The First National Real Estate group collectively has grown to become a leading network within Australasia and is recognized as the third largest Real Estate Network. The major success during Ray Ellis’s tenure as CEO has been a marked increase in profitability within member primarily due to innovation and direct involvement within member businesses.

Ray Ellis has previously occupied a seat on the Board of the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA), representing the First National Real Estate membership’s and industry’s interests.

Ray is also the Former CEO of the USA based AWG and also Melbourne Football Club.
